A 0-2-4, in the Whyte notation for the classification of steam locomotives by wheel arrangement, has one driving axle and two unpowered trailing axles.

It is an unusual wheel arrangement and the only known example was "Earl of Airlie" of the Dundee and Newtyle Railway.
