ice hockey player. He played for the Dunfermline Vikings andPaisley Pirates during the 1940s and 1950s. He also played for theGreat Britain national ice hockey team at the1948 Winter Olympics and the 1950Ice Hockey World Championships . After retiring from ice hockey he emigrated toCanada before settling in theUnited States in 1960. He was inducted to theBritish Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 2005.He is the younger brother of fellow British Ice Hockey Hall of Fame member, James "Tiny" Syme.
