Education

The village has two schools, Holton-le-Clay Infants School and Holton-le-Clay Junior School [ [http://www.holton-le-clay-junior.lincs.sch.uk/ Home ] ] , to cater for primary school age children. Local secondary schools include Tollbar Business and Enterprise College, New Waltham, and the village is also in the catchment area for Louth's three high schools.

Shops

Holton-le-Clay has a range of convenience shops: Lincolnshire Co-op [ [http://www.lincolnshire.coop/content.asp?PageID=293&ElementID=427 Welcome to Lincolnshire Co-operative; at the heart of your community ] ] , Spar and Nisa Today Star Supermarket. There is also a hardware shop, Pharmacy and three hairdressers:Alicee's, Eden and Oasis, as well as a tanning centre, ALPHASUN.

Situated in the village, are a number of takeaways: Mings (chinese), HLC Kebab House, Costa Pizza and a fish 'n' chip shop.

Pubs

The village has three pubs: The Etherington Arms, The Jug and Bottle and The Royal Oak. The Cricket Club also has a members' bar.

Transport

Public transport is by bus, provided by Stagecoach Lincolnshire [ [http://www.stagecoachbus.com/lincolnshire/ Lincolnshire - Home ] ] . The 51 Service provides buses every half hour to Grimsby and Louth. The village is on the A16 so access to these towns is convenient by road.

St. Peter's Church

The parish church has parts dating from Norman times.
