It also runs an annual international conference for the Information Resources Management Association.

Main focus of IGI Global is on information science and IT management. The publications include over 30 academic journals, a dozen encyclopedias, hundreds scholarly books, as well as occasional popular science publications. According to the publisher's policy, many of the online databases are free for university libraries, provided that the library buys one printed copy.
