- PreproCRH
"Human
CRH is processed from a preproCRH molecule, 196amino acids in length, which contains ahydrophobic signal sequence, required for secretion, at itsamino-terminal end. The middle of the molecule contains 124 amino acids of unknown function. Thecarboxyl-terminal end of preproCRH contains 41 amino acid sequence of the maturepeptide hormone , separated from the amino-terminus by aprotease -sensitive basic residue."Majzoub, J.A.
