The Rockhurst Hawklets football team is one of the most successful
high school football programs in the United States. The team is composed of students fromRockhurst High School inKansas City, Missouri and has made the most state championship appearances of any school inMissouri .=Championships=Rockhurst is the only school to win a championship in each major state championship venue in the state of Missouri:
Busch Stadium ,Arrowhead Stadium , venues at the University of Missouri, and theEdward Jones Dome . The proram also won a championship in a "non-championship" venue: its first championship, in 1971, at William Chrisman High School, against St. Louis Beaumont.Its eight football championships are second only to
Jefferson City High School 's ten in Missouri's male athletics. The team has been to more state championships (13) than any other school, and it is the all-time leader in state playoff appearances and state playoff wins. Four Rockhurst teams have won Missouri state championships with perfect records: 1971, 2000, 2002, and 2007. The 2000, 2002, and 2007 teams finished the season nationally ranked 14th, 6th, and 12th respectively. All teams finished the season undefeated with records of 14-0, 13-0, and 13-0, respectively.
