March 16 ,1963 ) is a Spanish rally driver active is the years 1991-2002. Puras was notorious for his blistering performances on tarmac rallies and along with teammatePhilippe Bugalski , he was chosen by theCitroën Total World Rally Team to be part of their driver line-up for the first bit-part campaign with the Citroën Xsara WRC in 2001. He secured his only WRC win that year at theTour de Corse withco-driver Marc Marti (who then went on to pilot former double championCarlos Sainz and in recent years,Dani Sordo ). However, with performances over shadowed by the upcomingSebastien Loeb , he retired from the Citroën Xsara WRC team and rallying in 2002, ending with a 6th place in his last rally - the 2002Rallye Sanremo .WRC victories
