Murray Wilde

Murray Wilde is a Canadian songwriter & composer (born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, July 7, 1951) and presently residing in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia.

His original works cover a variety of genres including Rock, Pop, Folk, Country, Contemporary Christian and World, with topical subjects that often address social and political issues, either from a serious or humorous perspective.

Currently a member of SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada), Songwriters Association of Canada, Canadian Action Party and various animal rights groups.

Timeline

2005 - Song Of The Year.com: selected as a 'Suggested Artist' by administrative staff. 2006 - Narrative Music Canada: winner of the 'Lyric Of The Year' in the Cultural & Spiritual genre. 2007 - SoundClick.com: a first runner-up from 8458 entries in a 10th anniversary song competition. 2008 January - Nashville Song Service: Honorable Mention in a Christian Lyric category competition. 2008 July - TEA Canada (Toronto Experimental Artists): selected to be included on a compilation CD for release in January 2009.
