Sean Francis (footballer)

Sean Francis (footballer) (born 1 August 1972 in Birmingham) is a former Irish football player.

A striker Sean made a scoring League of Ireland debut for Cobh Ramblers at home to UCD on the 6th of October 1991.

Joined Shamrock Rovers in 1995 and made his debut in August against St James' Gate. Went to spend 8 seasons at Rovers during which he made 2 appearances in European competition.

Joined Longford Town in November 2002 and scored in that season's FAI Cup Final at Lansdowne Road. Retired in July 2004.

Was assistant manager at Waterford United until May 2008 [http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2008/0521/waterford.html] .
