Enrollment

Lamberton HS has 799 students. The majority of students are African-American. 14 percent are Cacasian or other ethnic groups.

Administration

Ms. Lynn Johnson is the assistant principal. Mr. Love is the Dean of Students. Ms. Smithey is the assistant dean. Mr. Varrone is responsible for Lockers and Id's. Ms. Alexander is the NTA. Ms. Norris is the school nurse, and Ms. Sabree is the high school counselor

School Uniforms

Students are to wear navy shirts with the school emblem. The cost of the shirts are $15.00. The bottoms must be khaki.

Academics

Lamberton has some academic programs. The have what the state of PA mandates. They teach to prepare for the Benchmark Test, which is given every 6 weeks in each major subject. They do have AP Classes in American History, English Litearture and Composition, and Calculus. They also support Dual Enrollment classes. They administer the PSAT and SAT tests. The have SAT Prep courses in English.

School Progress

In 2007, the percent of students who scored proficient or advanced on the PSSA in math (19%) and in reading (21%) was lower than the state target (Math-45%, Reading-54%). Lamberton's achievement on the PSSA is lower than the district and state averages. However, Lamberton made AYP in 2007 because its performance has improved over the last three years. Lamberton has a number of awards and incentives for students:

Special Programs

Last year, the 10th and 11th graders had an opportunity to participate in the Career Exploration Program, headed by Dr. Schwartz. Credit Recovery is after a school course taken to earn your credits in a particular class.

School Sports

The school mascot is the bluedevils. Mr. Decker heads the soccer team at Lamberton HS. The also have a basketball, softball,and volleyball team headed by Mr. Fairfax and Mr. Jacobs. The bowling team is headed by the gym teacher Mr. D'Alanzo.
