Quinton-Steele Botes

He received an award for sporting excellence from the International Olympic Committee in 2003 ["Botes wins International Olympic Committee award" [http://www.k7.com.na/blog/?page_id=4 Botes wins International Olympic Committee award] ] in recognition of his promotion of athletics in Namibia

As technical manager of the Namibian Olympic Team he attended 2 Olympic Games, 3 World Games, 1 African Games and 2 Commonwealth Games.

On 20 September 2007 Quinton was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a type of cancer.
