Shotgun argumentation

Shotgun argumentation is an informal logical fallacy. It is exemplified when a person posts a "wall of text", as in a long and often unformalized text often with no or few headlines. When the opponents then decide not to comment on everything in the text or comment at all, the proposer will then declare victory because of lacking responses to the complete text.

This can also be more effective and a rhetoric tool, examples are large books written in support of pseudo-science, such as The Atlas of Creation and books in support of Intelligent Design.
