History
Sir William Stanier Community School started in 2008 after the amalgamation of Coppenhall High School and Victoria Community Technology School. The school is named after
William Stanier , who helped to revolutionise steam locomotives in Crewe. The amalgamation was approved in 2006, despite a lack of approval from pupils at the constituent schools. As a result of the consolidation, teachers from both sites have moved from one site to the other.Charity
Over the years both previous schools (VCTS and CHS) have supported various charities in many ways such as non uniform days for Comic Relief and special events for Children In Need such as Staff Karaoke, Rock Concerts and Sponge a Teacher & Prefect, Most recently CRY
Cardiac Risk in the Young after the loss of a student from Coppenhall, and many more. The amount of money raised is well over £5000.References
