Reuben Epp (born 1920 in
Canada ) is an author of works inPlautdietsch (Mennonite Low German). His parents wereRussian Mennonite s who emigrated to Canada fromRussia . Epp was educated as a mechanic and became an instructor at a vocational school for mechanics. Later he became the director of a vocational school inDawson Creek ,British Columbia . In the far-flung global community of Russian Mennonites, Epp is one of the best known poets and story tellers working in Plautdietsch, alongside such others asArnold Dyck andJack Thiessen . His accomplishments include publications on the history of Plautdietsch and on its orthography. "Ruben Ap" is how Reuben Epp's name is rendered in Plautdietsch.Publications
