Vasudhaiva Katumbakam

Vasudhaiva Katumbakam is a belief - from Sanskrit - that the world is one family. The theory originates in India and even today holds as a strong spiritual belief in India. Today, Vasudhaiva Katumbakam, can be interpreted as the intrinsic workings of the world, generally as globalization, or world interdependance. Vasudhaiva Katumbakam could be considered an equivalent to the global village, a theory presented by Marshall McLuhan. It is made of two words- Vasudha + Iva= Earth itself.
