"Téméraire" was a 74-gun ship of the line of the French Navy, launched in 1749.
She was captured at the Battle of Lagos on 18 August 1759, by HMS|Warspite|1758|6, and was taken into the Royal Navy as the third rate "'HMS "Temeraire".
"Temeraire" was sold out of the navy in 1784.
