Petrykivka

"Petrykivka" ( _uk. Петриківка) is a townlet of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (province) in east-central Ukraine. There are about 5 thousand inhabitants. Petrykivka was first mentioned in historical documents in 1772, when the residents of neighbouring Kurylivka village asked Koshovyi Otaman Petro Kalnyshevsky to move their Orthodox Chapel to safer place because of underflooding.
