Rubén Fernández Real is a former
Paraguay anfootball (soccer) player that captained the national team during the 1953 South American Championship won by Paraguay.Fernández started his career around 1946 in the youth divisions of
Club Estero Bellaco , from the city ofVillarrica . In 1950 he moved toClub Libertad and after winning the South American Championship with Paraguay he was transferred to theArgentine clubBoca Juniors where he played from 1953 to 1956, winning the 1954 Argentine championship. He ended his career atSan Lorenzo de Almagro , where he played from 1957 to 1958.After retiring from football, Fernández became a
