Giant Global Graph

Giant Global Graph

Giant Global Graph (GGG) was notably used the first time by World Wide Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee on his blog. [ [http://dig.csail.mit.edu/breadcrumbs/node/215 Giant Global Graph | Decentralized Information Group (DIG) Breadcrumbs ] ]

Tim Berners-Lee thinks about the social network itself that is inside and between social network websites such as Facebook. He assumes that people can use the word 'Graph' to distinguish these from the 'Web'. Then he says that though he called this graph the Semantic Web, maybe it should have been Giant Global Graph. GGG matches WWW.

GGG has been used several times by and in other blogs [ [http://blogs.talis.com/nodalities/2007/11/who_is_afraid_of_the_ggg.php Analysis of Recent Blogs] ] [ [http://web3next.blogspot.com/2007/11/ggg-www-123.html Comparison of WWW vs. GGG with Data vs. Objects] ] and it may become a common expression. GGG may be described as content+pointers of WWW transitioning to content+pointers+relationships+descriptions.
