Takkalla Padu is a village located between Kanigiri and Pamuru, in India. It is under Kanigiri Talaka and Kandukuru division. Takkalla Padu consist of three colonies named Kancharalavari Palli (post), Vijaya Gopalapuram, and Narapareddyvaripalli, B.C colony.

Takkallapadu village is beside the Kanigiri-Pamuru road. It is about 10 km from Kanigiri.

History

According to village records and forefathers, it a village ruled by Katamaraju and other kings. Another source, pothu Rosi Reddy is a great person belongs to this village who gave shelter to many orphans and others. He became a good name in his days.

Geography

Geographically, Takkallapadu is the near the Mandal Head quarters Kanigiri, and about 10 km from Kanigiri.

Takkallapadu consists of a great Lake named Gollapalli lake .It is the main resource for agriculture and dringking water.

Education

Takkallapadu contains good educational institute. This institute offers education so many students from nearly 30 villages around Takkallapadu. Pothu Rosi Reddy who donated 10 acres to this school.

Population

Takkallapadu consists of 1500-1800 voters. It a one of the largest and biggest panchanth in Kanigiri Mandalam.

Takkallapadu has been governed by one family since 1982. Pothu Konda Reddy, who was elected as MPP from this village.
