Rodolfo Arizaga (b.
Buenos Aires , July 11, 1926 - d. Buenos Aires, 1985) was an Argentinian composer.Arizaga studied composition at the National Conservatory in Buenos Aires under
Alberto Williams ,José Gil ,Luis Gianneo , andTeodoro Fuchs ; he also studiedphilosophy at the National Universeity. After touringSpain in 1950, he went to Paris in 1954 and studied underNadia Boulanger andOlivier Messiaen . Here he also began experimenting with theOndes Martenot , and composed several works for the instrument. Returning to Argentina in 1960, he taught atBuenos Aires University and wrote music criticism for journals and newspapers.Works
