Omega Counterfeit

The Omega Counterfeit, also known as the "Rolls Royce" of counterfeits, refers to a large number of counterfeit 1907 High-Relief Saint-Gaudens twenty-dollar gold piece discovered to have a greek Omega symbol in the eagles claw. The counterfeits were so flawless they were fooling a lot of people before it was discovered. The counterfeiter is still unknown and has been giving the nickname "The Omega Man". The real coin sells for over $50,000. The Omega Man is believed to have created over 20,000 counterfeits worth over $300 million in todays market. The counterfeits have become so well known and are so flawless that people will pay more than $800 for one of the counterfeits. The identity of the counterfeiter is still unknown.
