Karen Spencer is a fictional character on "The Bold and The Beautiful". She was on the show from 1991-1994.

Karen is the identical twin sister of the late Caroline Spencer Forrester. The parts of both Karen and Caroline were played by Joanna Johnson.

Karen's Biography

Karen Spencer was kidnapped as a baby and grew up in Texas under the name of Faith Roberts. She was first introduced several months after the death of her identical twin sister Caroline Spencer, whom she never met.

There seemed to be an aura of mystery about her. Bill Spencer's ex-girlfriend Margo (Lauren Koslow) told Blake Hayes that Caroline Spencer had a twin. The twin, who went by the name Faith, had been found living in Texas, where she worked as a waitress. Faith was the spitting image of Caroline Spencer. Faith was recruited by Taylor Hayes' (Hunter Tylo) ex-husband Blake Hayes to fall in love with her late sister's husband Ridge Forrester, who was married with Taylor at the time. Faith went to his job and he freaked out when he saw her. She explained her situation, and he began to fall in love with her because it felt as if he were with his late wife. However, this development failed to break up Ridge's marriage to Taylor.

Thorne's Love

Thorne fell in love with Karen Spencer obviously because she looked just like his first wife, and the two fell in love, but Thorne's second ex-wife Macy Alexander was furious at her because she was in love with Thorne also.

Karen vs. Macy

Macy Alexander (Bobbie Eakes) was at odds with Karen, who had fallen for her husband, Thorne (then played by Jeff Trachta). Thorne would up falling in love with Karen, and while his marriage to Macy was in shatters, he took up with Caroline's twin. Karen's relationship with Thorne was short-lived, and she soon ended up falling for attorney Connor Davis (Scott Thompson Baker), leaving Thorne and Macy to reunite.

Karen vs. Sheila

Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) determined to replace Connor as Brooke Logan's (Katherine Kelly Lang) confidant, began to investigate Connor's affair with Karen. When Sheila intercepted a love letter that Karen had written to Connor, she seized the opportunity to lure Brooke to Connor's apartment, where the two witnessed Connor and Karen kissing. A devastated Brooke called off her wedding to Connor, and a rift was created in her friendship with Karen.

Karen and Connor

Karen did not marry Thorne, but rather became engaged to Connor Davis. The ceremony was canceled, however, when it was revealed that Karen had lied to Connor about her alleged pregnancy. Karen left town in 1994 and moved back to Texas, where she has presumably resided since.
