This genus is endemic to
New Zealand .Description
"Atalacmea" shells are small, very thin, broadly elliptical, nearly flat, and with the apex near the anterior margin. The surface is smooth, except for excessively fine and dense radial lirations.
Colour patterns consist of concentric dark narrow bands.
The
radula is very similar to "Notoacmea ".They are common on the undersides of smooth stones towards low water, mainly in open coast waters.
