- Uttradhi Arora
The Uttradhi Arora, literally the Northern Aroras, are a major subgroup of the
Arora socialcaste inIndia . They areKshatriya in terms ofvarna . In historical legend, the Aroras were forced to flee persecution at the hands ofParasurama and left through three main gates from their hometown. Those that fled north became the Uttradhi Aroras, while others fled west and south. These Aroras were separated from each other and developed much their own cultural ways, although recent intermarriage between the groups have led to a negation of these differences.
