Thomas Bogle Rader (December 25, 1859 - June 14, 1904) was a politician and businessman of Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Biography

H was born in Henryville, Indiana. He began teaching at the young age of sixteen and did so until he became twenty-one years old. [http://www.rootsweb.com/~incccpc/clarkbios/rader-thomas.html Bio of Thomas B. Rader ] ] He then became Deputy County Treasurer of Clark County in 1878, and moved to Jeffersonville. Four years later he worked as a clerk in the auditor's office for the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. RADER 1859-1904 Obituary ] ] . ] In 1888 he resigned from the railroad to go into real-estate and insurance business for himself in Jeffersonville. In 1898 Thomas Rader defeated Republican incumbent Isaac F. Whitside for mayor of Jeffersonville. ] Rader served as mayor for one term, and was defeated by Abraham Schwaninger in 1902. Thomas Rader died of Bright's disease in 1904.
