Piemare

Piemare ( _la. Bihavelanc, _lv. Piejūra) - the old Curonian land in the late iron age and in 13th century. Was located between Bandava, Duvzare (Duvzari) and the Baltic sea on the present territory of Liepāja district in Latvia. For the first time was mentioned in 1253 year. Consisted from the following settlements ( _la. villae): Vārtaja, Tadaiķi, Ūsaiķi, Ilga, Līpa, Gavieze, Vārve, Padone, Peke, Okte, Ģelži, Lindale, Troista, Ievade, Dzēre, Boja, Droga, Krote, Apriķi, Ilmede, Diždupļi, Mazdupļi, Grobiņa, Neres, Stroķi, Tāši, Aistere, Vērgale, Rīva, Medze, Līva, Razge, Perkone, Dunalka, Prūši, Karkele, Dzintere, Saliena and Saka.
