Thomas Edward Morton-Smith, (born
January 5 ,1980 ) is an English playwright.Morton-Smith, originally from
Exeter , grew up inEast Grinstead . He studied Drama at theUniversity of East Anglia before training as an actor at theLondon Academy of Music and Dramatic Art .In 2001 his play "Black Boxes & Amber Rooms" was selected to appear at the
National Student Drama Festival and was performed at theStephen Joseph Theatre .In 2006 he was selected to be part of Future Perfect, a writer's group attached to
Paines Plough theatre company. In 2007 he joined the company as their playwright-in-residence.His debut stage play,
Salt Meets Wound , premiered atTheatre 503 in May 2007.His one act play, "The Hygiene Hypothesis", previewed at Theatre 503 before appearing at the
Latitude Festival in July 2007. His short play, "Rodeo", had appeared at the 2006 Latitude Festival as part of a selection of shorts produced by theRoyal Court Theatre .Selected Credits
