Ivo Lozančić

Ivo Lozančić (born in Donja Ozimica near Žepče in 1957 - died November 17, 2007 near Zenica) was a Bosnian Croat soldier and politician.

After the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lozančić became the first president of the Croatian Democratic Union's Municipal Council in Žepče. He laterled the defence of the town furing the War in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a commander in the Croatian Defense Council. Within the Croatian Community of Herzeg-Bosnia he held the post of assistant to the minister of defense.

Lozančić held high posts in the Croatian Democratic Union, the New Croatian Initiative and later in the Croatian Democratic Union 1990. At one point he was also second-in-command of the united Army of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He had two mandates in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 1999 to 2003, he was a member of the Croatian Parliament elected from the 11th electoral district (for the diaspora). Lozancic was Chairman of the House of Representatives from January, 3 to September, 16 1997. From 1999 to 2003, he was a member of the Croatian Parliament elected from the 11th electoral district. Lozančić died in car accident on November 17, 2007 near Zenica.
