Lakhiganj is a village and a small Bazzar (market) in the
Dhubri district ofAssam , around 8 km distance away from theBilasipara , (Sub-divisional head quarter). It is situated on the Bilasipara-Kokrajhar state highway, around 9 km fromKokrajhar town and 8 km from Fakiragram railway station. As it has a small township from the people of different background and weekly market (Monday and Friday), the people represent a mixed culture. The people of this Bazzar basically speakGoalpariya Assamese , although Marawari,Bihari andBengalis ’ are also there. The people are primarily dependent on business.Lakhiganj has a
