Betty Ferm (
December 4 1926 - ) is an American novelist, known for her mixed genre fiction. She is the author of eleven fiction and non-fiction books. Her two bestelling books were "False Idols", published in 1974, and "Fever Pitch", in 1980.Betty Ferm is currently an in-house editor for PMA Literary & Film Management, Inc. Two of her novels were optioned by major Hollywood studios for future production, and her book Save Dollars with Generic Drugs (Morrow), co-authored with her doctor husband, garnered author tours and wide media promotion. Before joining PMA she was President of her own company, "BookNotes" in which she advised "on the brink" authors of the key elements in making that unmarketable manuscript into a winner. She has also taught at Marymount Manhattan College, specifically in the field of writing the suspense novel, whether detective mystery, occult, legal thriller or of mainstream caliber.
