WebCall

WebCall

WebCall is the name given to a voice communication established directly within the browser. It uses any standard VoIP protocol, but unlike the standard VoIP communications it does not need a separate software application to manage it.

The intention of the Webcall is to let anonymous clients contact the other party without needing to create an account with any provider. Making an analogy with the telephone lines, it is like using a 0800 (toll free service in the United States) to make a phone call.

Common applications for the WebCall are to provide 0800web services (toll free) for:
*Technical support
*Telemarketing
*Help desk

Working as a simple link, users can include images or company logos in their web pages, email signatures or blogs.

Actually "Call You Free" services with this kind of technology are being developed by many telecommunications companies worldwide and are becoming widely used by internauts.
