lake in the northern part ofVologda Oblast inRussia . The area of the lake is 416 km². The average depth is around 2m (maximum depth is 4.5 m). Lake Vozhe drains through theSvid River intoLake Lacha , from which theOnega River flows out. The lake is located on a flatland and its shores are low-lying and swampy. Around twenty rivers flow into Lake Vozhe, including the Vozhega and Modlona. The lake freezes up in October - November (some parts freeze to the very bottom) and stays icebound until May.
