compilation of videos byBananarama , released by Channel 5, in1987 , which features themusic video s which had been made to accompany the four singles taken from the "True Confessions"album . The "Venus" video is the 7" version, the extended version featuring instead on "The Greatest Hits Collection". "A Trick of the Night " is the U.S. version: this song has two different videos, namely the UK black and white version, and the U.S. colour version; the UK b/w version was actually directed by amateurs winning aBBC programme, "In at the Deep End ", a kind ofreality show ante litteram, the aim of which was in fact shooting a video for the song, the latter also opening and closing the show. The other two videos included in the collection, i.e. the ones made for the "Do Not Disturb" and "More Than Physical " singles, are quite rare, since the two songs were both commercial flops in the UK. However, both were relevant for Bananarama's musical evolution, the former representing their shift from the girls' early tomboy image to the following fashion revolution, the latter, besides starting that revolution itself, also accompanied Stock, Aitken & Waterman's second tune ever co-written and produced by them for the girls (the first being "Venus", and the third the single remix of "A Trick of the Night", also featured here). The video for "Do Not Disturb", the one track entirely produced byJolley & Swain , was directed by Simon Milne, whereas the videos for the three songs produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman (though "A Trick of the Night" was also produced by Jolley & Swain in its original album version) were all directed by Peter Care.Track listing
