Hugh Chance

Hugh Chance

Hugh Chance (born December 28, 1911 in Winfield, United States, died 1998) served as a member of the Universal House of Justice, the supreme governing body of the Bahá'í Faith, between 1963 and 1993.

Mr. Chance was born in Winfield, Kansas, United States. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell College in 1933 and a JD from the State University of Iowa in 1935. He served on the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the United States from 1961 until 1963, when he was elected to the first Universal House of Justice.
