- Davor Nikolic
Davor Nikolic (b. May 15 1989, Zagreb, Croatia) is presently a
freshman at Faculty of Political Science onUniversity of Zagreb , Croatia, and is a delegate to the United Nations. [cite web|url=http://www.un.org/youthsummit/delegate.asp?did=428|title=UN GYLS: Delegate Page|accessdate=2007-12-05|publisher=United Nations ]He is president of the Croatian National Student's Council, whose twenty one members act as the representatives of almost 600,000 Croatian students. The Council acts as an advisory body to the Minister of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia.
Davor was a member of the Committee for Health Education. The Committee had eleven members, but Davor Nikolic was the only student involved in its activities. Davor is currently working on preparatory activities for establishing the Croatian Youth Convention.
Davor has been awarded the Bronze Prize at International Fair of Youth Innovators in 2003 and 2004. In 2002, Davor worked as an initiator and has performed humanitarian activities to help neglected children. He is currently active as an associate reporter at his school magazine, Cener. His article about the views of Croatian students on education reform in their country was published in 2005, in a brochure of Ministry of Science, Education and Sports in Croatian daily newsletter Vjesnik.
Davor has been a youth delegate of Republic of Croatia on first ever held United Nations Global Youth Leadership Summit which took place in UN HQ in New York in October 2006. He is a Youth Spokesperson for Millennium Development Goals in Croatia.
At this year's United Nations General Assembly Davor Nikolic was the youngest delegate, and was representing the Republic of Croatia as youth delegate in state delegation.
