Phaelon Productions is a Cardiff based motion graphic company currently specialising in the production of music videos.

The History Of Phaelon Productions

Phaelon was formed when Dave Gregory, Charlie Davies, Si Warlow and Gaz Chalmers started making short films together throughout university, and were then asked in October 2004 to shoot a music video for local punk rockers The Martini Henry Rifles. The video was a success and Phaelon was born.

The Name Phaelon comes from the 1986 Disney movie The Flight of the Navigator, Phaelon being the home of Trimaxion, other names that were rejected included, 'The Pig Dogs', 'The 82 Inch Cowboy Boys', and 'Is There A Doctor On This Plane?'

The first video by Phaelon was for the track Infomercial, this was aired on MTV2 in 2004 which led the band to return to Phaelon for the follow up single Slash The Seats, this was also aired on MTV2 and was shown at the Edinburgh Film Festival under the category Best new video from the UK AND US alongside videos for Fat Boy Slim and The Chemical Brothers

In 2006 Phaelon were part of a center fold alongside The Automatic in The Western Mail as part of a story looking at promising directors, musicians, comedians and artists coming out of Wales.
