Wham-o magic window

The Wham-0 magic window is a vintage toy produced by Wham-O in 1973. It was a 30x30 cm oval plate of opposing sheets of heavy clear plastic containing glass crystal sand of varied colors. The Magic Window was called magic because each window contained both a colored sand and a white sand which didn't mix. The window could be turned or tapped to create patterns in the sand.

The Magic Window was cleverly marketed and described as having "volcanic action" and able to make "lacy patterns". The original model was blue/white which contained blue sand (with hints of black sand) and a white sand. The blue and black sands had higher density, were heavier, and the white sand was almost like powdered silicone. The other colors were green/white and pink/white and these were glow-in-the-dark models. Wham-O recently stated that they would consider bringing these back if there was a significant demand.
