Suciu is a
Romania n surname. The word "suciu", used inTransylvania , is a synonym for "cojocar". A "cojocar" is one who produces or sells the "cojoc", a sleeved sheepskin coat with fur on the inside, worn especially in rural areas. "Suciu" derives from the Hungarian "szőcs", although those who bear this name are uniformly Romanian.
