chameleon native toEthiopia , southernSudan ,Somalia ,Kenya ,Tanzania ,Uganda , and adjacent parts ofDR Congo .In Kenya, the Side-striped chamaeleon lives on
Mount Kenya ,Kilimanjaro , and in theAberdare Range . They live in the "Hagenia " and "Hypericum " scrub in the timberline forest between 3000 and 4000m. It lives between 1 and 2 metres (3-6 feet) above the ground in the giant heathers that grow here. They are strictlydiurnal and shelter at night between dense bushes. [cite journal
