Gorodovikovsk ( _ru. Городовиковск; Kalmyk language: Башнта) is a town in the Republic of Kalmykia, Russia, located on the Bashantenon River, km to mi|240 west of Elista. It is the administrative center of Gorodovikovsky District. Population: 10,500 (2005 est.); ru-census|p2002=10940|p1989=11902

It was founded in 1872 as a Kalmyk settlement of Bashanta ( _ru. Башанта). It was granted status of urban-type settlement in 1938. In 1971, it was granted town status and renamed Gorodovikovsk after the Hero of the Soviet Union Oka Gorodovikov, who was of Kalmyk origin.
