A Stoop on Orchard Street was an "Off-Broadway", with
Jay Kholos as the writer for the music, lyrics, and book;Lon Gary as the director, and arranged and orchestrated byTom Berger andJeffrey Campos .The musical ran successfully at The Mazer Theatre on the Lower East Side of New York City for a year and a half. The first Preview was on July 8, 2003 with an opening night on August 7, 2003 and closed on November 14, 2004. The Off-Broadway production had a total income of $350,000 — an impressive figure for a little non-Equity musical housed in a 172-seat theater on the Lower East Side. "Stoop" also had a successful US/Canada National Tour and a short sit-down in Los Angeles, CA.
Synopsis
