- Jamie Records
"Jamie Records" was a Record label founded in
Philadelphia, Pa . in1957 by Harold Lipsius. With the help and promotion ofDick Clark and his "American Bandstand "television program they were able to transform the small label into a majorindependent record label with numerous hits and million-sellers.Their first
45rpm single was issued in 1957 by Marian Caruso titled "It's Great To Fall In Love"/"Truly" (Jamie 1033). However, they really hit the big-time in1958 with the release ofDuane Eddy 's "Rebel Rouser"/"Stalkin' " (Jamie 1104). Eddy became the mainstay Jamie artist, recording hit after hit.
