- Antonio Capellini
Antonio Capellani (born c.
1730 ) was an Italian engraver. He was born atVenice , where he was a pupil ofJoseph Wagner , and engraved several plates both atRome andVenice . He engraved most of the portraits in the edition ofVasari , published by Bottarini atRome in 1760. He also engraved several of the plates for the "Schola Italianate Pictures" under the direction ofGavin Hamilton .Among his prints are:
