Ariella Linovski (born
August 10 ,1982 ) is a Jewish Canadian-born writer, activist and artist who has contributed to the fields ofcommunication theory ,post-zionism , anddiscourse theory.Biography
Linovski is affiliated with the Communication and Culture program at

The theoretical background of her work comes out of a Post-Structuralist and Post-Colonialist framework, often citing the work of scholars such as
Judith Butler andMichel Foucault .Linovski maintains a blog entitled "inappropriate musings on Jewish identity" where she mostly expresses her personal experiences in being Jewish and often presents a critique of the State of Israel for its discriminatory policies towards Palestinian Israelis.
Before becoming interested in politics, Linovski enjoyed a successful career as a pop singer, winning many awards for her debut LP "I Like to Sing" released in 1995.Fact|date=November 2007
