Joe Cipriano (basketball coach)

Joe Cipriano was a college basketball player and coach. He played in college for Tippy Dye's Washington Huskies, and he played in the 1953 Final Four in Kansas City, Missouri.

Cipriano coached at the University of Idaho from 1960-63, where his teams went 43-35 (.551). He then coached at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he ran the Cornhuskers' program from 1964 until his death from cancer in 1980. During his tenure with the Huskers, Cipriano compiled a record of 253-197 (.562).
