Deborah Crombie (née Darden) (born June 6, 1952) is an American author of the Duncan Kinkaid / Gemma James mystery series set in the United Kingdom. Crombie was raised in Texas and has lived in the United Kingdom. She now lives in northern Texas.
Crombie was a writing student of Warren Norwood at Tarrant County College.
