Effat Shariati

Effat Shariati (born 1952 in Kerman Iran) PhD is a Member of Parliament of Islamic republic of Iran and head of Iran women fraction. From the earlier years of Iran Islamic Revolution she started cultural and political works. In the time of The Forced War in Iran (Iraq attacked Iran) she was the writer of war related programs in IRIB (Isalamic republic of Iran Broadcast "Iran official TV and Radio"). In 1991 she selected as the head of the women committee of Grand Khorassan state and the adviser of the governor of Grand Khorasan. After 6 years she joined IRIB in the title of Cultural Advisor of the direct manager of Grand Khorasan IRIB. Then in 2002 she selected in the 7th Parliament election as the Member of Iran Parliament from Mashhad (The most famous religious city of Shia Muslims) and still she is in that title. Also she is the head of Iran women fraction. Again she have selected in 8th Iran parliament election as the MP of Mashhad. She is the only MP of the eastern side of Iran.

She is also a poem and her 2 poem collections have published in the title of AGAIN,I SPEEK ABOUT YOU!. She is the author of more than 30 scientific article which were published in famous newspapers and magazines of Iran. She was also the representative of Iran in Asia minister and MP women conference in Sillan for 2 years.

Her son Mahmood Ahmadi Afzadi PhD of Political science from Paris Relations Academy is the president of The News University in Iran and the professor of UBC university in Canada. Her other son Masood Ahmadi Afzadi PhD of religions from Heidelberg university is the direct manager of Golestan state IRIB in Iran. Amir Hossein Ahmadi Afzadi, her other son student of English literature is the member of central council of students Islamic society of Azad university.
