Samfälligheten för Nordisk Sed is a religious organisation of Nordisk Sed (or Forn Sed) in Sweden. It is one of the proponents of the Folktro approach to Heathenry. The regional units where known as gäll until 2007 when the organisation was re-structured. Samfälligheten was formed in the early 1990s, originally consisting of five member groups. In 1999, "Samfälligheten" initiated a process of creating an organisation to account for changes in Swedish legislation with regard to the recognition of religious groups. In the course of this, the Torsåker Gäll was split off the Samfälligheten and was later dissolved. In 2000 Samfälligheten was as one of the first religious organisations registered as a registrerat trossamfund due to the new Swedish laws. Today it is active all over Sweden.

Differences from Ásatrú

Together with Norway's Foreningen Forn Sed, Samfälligheten confess to a traditionalist Nordic religion opposed to eclectic Ásatrú. They call the religion Nordisk Sed ("Nordic Custom") which is based regional folklore (Folketro). They do not associate themselves with reconstructionist Asatruars and their emphasis of medieval sources such as the Edda.
