Colin Cobb is a Music Business Executive and an
American Record Producer , engineer, mixer & songwriter based inAlpharetta, GA . Although he is known now for his Alternative and Indie Rock productions, Cobb's first major success was his early work writing and producing "Suzie's Pillows" for pop groupLFO .Cobb was raised in a household where music was the family business. His father, producer Winton Cobb, was one of the original founders of noted independent label
Ichiban Records and also produced notable clients such asThe Three Degrees ,Billy Paul ,Margie Joseph , Slave,Little Johnny Taylor ,Inez Andrews ,The Soul Stirrers , John P. Key, The Blind Boys, Doc Mckenzie, The Fantastic Violanaires,Roy Ayers , and St. Claire Pickney. Taking a cue from his father, Colin got his start as a teen producing hardcore punk bands. As a graduate ofFull Sail Real World Education in production and business, Cobb continued to produce and work in A&R/Marketing through school. Cobb then spent time cutting his teeth at D.A.R.P. (Dallas Austin Recording Projects), before moving on to Transcontinental Studios working on major label Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B projects.Known as an avid connoisseur of recording equipment, Colin launched his own Vintage Vibe Productions in 2004.
